Merrell Miles Westerman


Merrell is passionate about helping adolescents, individuals, and parents in understanding, caring for, and expressing themselves, building healthy routines and boundaries, and enhancing their relationships.

Merrell holds an MA in Counseling from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. With a lifetime of experience with the arts and a passion to continue integrating the arts with her therapeutic work, Merrell studies with Expressive Arts Florida Institute; she is actively being trained and mentored in intermodal expressive arts therapy. Merrell is also an accredited Positive Parenting Program practitioner.

Utilizing person-centered expressive arts therapy and other therapies, Merrell assists individuals in caring for, understanding, and expressing themselves, gaining clarity surrounding their stories, and putting new behaviors into action for the betterment of themselves and their relationships.

Merrell also helps parents/guardians care for and express themselves as well as build more effective communication and parenting skills.

In her spare time, Merrell enjoys spending time with her family, playing piano, writing poetry, experiencing live music, traveling, and playing with her dogs.
